INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT

Location: Remote

Shift: 7AM-4PM PHT

Arrangement: Remote, Full Time

About this role…

Job Description

· Whilst this role has limited client contact, where there is contact actively assist clients in meeting goals, objectives and answering queries.

· Use client accounting programs, including XERO, MYOB, Reckon, Banklink, Cashflow Manager and Phoenix, to extract reports and data, as well as providing training to clients in the use of these programs, and assist with their queries.

· Prepare financial statements, income tax returns and Business Activity Statements for sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies, in various industries, based on source data provided by the client.

· Remain current with tax law changes.

· Interpret and understand tax law and explain the law and implications to clients.

· Maintenance and completion of client history, trust details.

· Completion of basic to intermediate Financial Statements and Tax Returns across all entity types.

· Maximum of five review points.

Your skills and attributes

· A Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting, or a similar relevant qualification

· 2 plus years’ experience in a similar role

· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular, Excel.

· Ability to quickly adapt to new software (experience using Xero, MOYB and/or QuickBooks, and APS would be an advantage).
